To tell you that Charlie passed his swallow study today. I thought we were going to have a big problem getting him to eat food laced with barium--I shouldn't have worried. The thin liquid they chose was apple juice. He went after that stuff and actually cried when I took it away. No aspirating at all. Did great on all types of solids too. The therapist at the hospital said she'd have no reservations giving him any food or drink.
The best part: NO MORE THICKENER! I just saved fifty bucks a month.
