Today is Charlotte's birthday. If you're the type, please take a moment and say a prayer for her family. I have no doubt that this is an extremely tough day for them.

Katy: Deep South Looziana, United States; A suburban princess turned public school teacher turned stay-at-home mom. I love shopping, celebrity gossip, teen movies and other things that I should probably be more ashamed of. I love pretending I'm cool while listening to cheesy music in my car--don't take that away from me. It so doesn't matter than I have a Taurus with a car seat in the back. I love eating, drinking, and laughing with friends. I love art, but I have to paint at night while my family is sleeping. My husband is an NPR-listening, Libertarian engineer who keeps me grounded. My son is a smiling, laughing, palsied, hydrocephalic angel. Normal babies just aren't this wonderful. My husband calls me the Bird, hence the name of this blog. This is just my life on a page--food, babies, daily drama, decorating, and the like. Welcome.
